The Friendship 100 – September 16

This unique event brings out fierce competition for some and is downright silly for others.  Held annually at the 49er Fun Park, The Friendship 100 is our largest fundraiser and there is room for everyone to participate!  25 community members commit to raising at least $1,000 for the honor of racing the go-carts.  And 36 teams of four descend on the mini-golf course over two tournaments.  Adult guests enjoy a catered dinner by Antonio Ayestaran and a beer, wine and margarita bar.  There are plenty of opportunities for sponsorship.  With over 250 guests, this is a fantastic sponsor opportunity for businesses. Click here for more details.  Call us soon for more information, especially if you’d like to race a car – these coveted spots fill up fast!

Thanksgiving Dinner – November 7

This is our very special annual Thanksgiving Dinner for The Friendship Club girls and invited guests.

Holiday Reception – December 2

Every year we hold a holiday reception to look back on the year and to celebrate everyone who makes our work possible – our Friendship family.

Personal Growth Series Workshops – Ongoing (check back for dates)

Throughout the year, The Friendship Club will be offering workshops to promote personal growth for our volunteers and anyone in the community who wants to deepen their self understanding and connection with others.  The workshops will typically be offered as a series, and each will have a suggested donation as a benefit for The Friendship Club.

  1. Discover Your Strengths Series: Facilitated by The Friendship Club’s own Jennifer Singer who’s also a Certified Strength’s Consultant. People who play to their CliftonStrengths are the absolute best version of themselves. Gallup research finds that they’re more engaged and productive at work and 3x more likely than others to have an excellent quality of life. Discover how CliftonStrengths helps people maximize their potential!
  2. Deep Listening Workshop Series: Facilitated by Personal Growth Consultant, Lyn Gunn-Smith, learn and practice deep, mindful listening.  Become more aware of how your thoughts, feelings and beliefs impact your ability to be present with others.

If you are interested in attending a future Personal Growth Series Workshop, contact Cindy Hintz and she’ll make sure to alert you when we have new dates scheduled: CindyH@friendshipclub.org or (530) 265-4311 x203.
