The Friendship Club program receives referrals from school teachers and counselors, social workers and community members for girls who could use some support and opportunities to experience new things. Girls who join this program can come from a variety of challenging situations, but they are all interested in making the most of their futures and want to receive guidance and support in pursuit of their goals.
The Friendship Club provides a comprehensive, year-round program aimed at developing the whole girl. Not just the academic, social, responsible, or creative part of the girl, but all of those. This is done through an after school program, summer enrichment program, field trips, tutoring, and mentoring. Volunteers are recruited to help support these activities as drivers, meal makers, chaperones, guest speakers, tutors and mentors.
